Tickelopes exists for the people behind small businesses — the real ones. The ones who didn’t start with a perfect plan or a big budget. The ones who had an idea that wouldn’t leave them alone, or a situation that forced them to get creative, or a dream they were too scared not to try.

This space is for them.

Behind every small business is a human moment. Someone sitting at a table late at night. Someone doubting themselves but showing up anyway. Someone learning as they go, making mistakes, and slowly figuring things out. Those moments don’t usually get talked about, but they’re the moments that matter most.

That’s what Tickelopes is here to share.

What We Do

We tell the stories of small business owners in their own words and in their own time. We talk about how ideas really start — not the clean version, but the honest one. The napkin sketches. The side hustle that grew quietly. The “I don’t know if this will work, but I’ll try” feeling.

We ask simple, human questions:
What made you start?
What scared you?
What surprised you?
What kept you going when things felt heavy?

Sometimes the answers are funny. Sometimes they’re emotional. Often, they’re both.

We also share the things these businesses create — the products, the services, the work they’re proud of — because each one carries a piece of the person who made it.

Why This Matters
